Fudge

4 c. sugar
1 can evaporated milk (1 2/3 c.)
¾ c. butter or margarine

1 large package chocolate chips

2 dozen large marshmallows

1 ½ t. vanilla

Cook sugar, milk, and butter to soft ball stage. Add chocolate chips, marshmallows, and vanilla. Beat. Pour into pan. Makes 3 pounds.

I remember making this with grandma when I was a kid and I thought that she put the marshmallows in the Kitchen Aid mixer and whipped them all up together to make a sort of marshmallow cream. Although there's a good chance that I could be wrong,. I was a kid getting to make fudge with grandma, so I wasn't exactly paying attention to all the particulars!
