1 ½ c. sugar
½ c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 ¼ c. cake flour (or 2 cups regular flour)
½ t. baking powder
¾ t. baking soda
½ t. salt
1 c. mashed bananas (3 bananas)
¼ c. sour milk
1 t. vanilla
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix bananas, milk and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to butter and sugar mixture alternating with the banana mixture. Makes two 8 or 9” layers. Bake 350° for 25 minutes. Frost with white butter icing.
