½ c. butter

½ c. white sugar

2 egg yolks

Vanilla

1 ½ c. flour

1 t. baking powder

Pinch salt

Mix in order given. Put in greased pan 8x8. Beat 2 egg whites stiff. Add 1 c. brown sugar and 1 c. chopped nuts. Put on top of dough. Bake 45 minutes in moderate oven.
