Adeline's Sour Cream Cake

Grandma Hertel and Judy

¼ lb. butter or oleo
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, unbeaten
1 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. soda
½ t. salt
1 c. sour cream

Filling:
6 T. oleo
1 c. brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon
½ c. chopped nuts (not fine)

Cream butter and sugar. Then add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add this to butter and sugar mixture alternately with sour cream. Grease and flour a pan that holds a 2 qt. capacity. Angel food tube pan fine. Pour ½ of batter and top with ½ of filling and top with ½ of batter and balance of filling. Bake 325° 45 minutes. If not done, bake an additional 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
