4 c. sifted flour
1 egg
1 ½ c. butter or margarine
2 t. vanilla
1 t. baking powder
Heat oven to 400° (325° if thin). Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to cream to cream mixture. Refrigerate dough 2-3 hours. Roll dough ¼” thick. Bake 8-10 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
