2 t. double-acting baking powder
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 t. grated lemon peel
1-30oz. can cling peach halves, drained
Streusel topping (doesn’t give recipe for this)
Preheat oven to 325°. Sift flour and baking powder. Set aside. Beat butter or margarine and sugar until smooth and lemon color. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture and lemon peel. Spread batter evenly on greased and floured 13x9 baking pan. Cut peaches in half. Arrange in rows on top of batter. Pinch streusel topping into tiny pieces. Sprinkle on top. Bake 45-50 minutes. Serves 12.
