Perfect Pie Crust

4 c. flour
1 t. salt
1 ¾ c. shortening
(note from grandma: not butter or margarine—vegetable shortening!)

Mix above ingredients.

1 egg, beaten
1 T. sugar
1 T. white vinegar (or other)
½ cold water

Mix above ingredients.

Add wet ingredients to flour mixture. Mix well. Form into any size balls you want. Pat down. Refrigerate for a while before using.
